Recently ZebraEnglish changed their referral links. This caused me to have to fix the now broken links that I posted on social media.
My husband said this happens often, so much so that people have to build redirects on their websites to deal with the problem.
In order to eliminate the problem in the future, my husband recommended that I use a subdomain under my own URL. This led us to purchase zeapply.com and creating a subdomain (joeann.zeapply.com).
We then thought it may help others to do the same, so we contacted 2 of my teacher friends who administer our Facebook group and ask them if they wanted to do it also. Thankfully my husband can put all this together quickly.
The new subdomain redirects to the updated ZebraEnglish referral link.
This allows me to promote my new link (name.zeapplycom) with confidence that it will always point to the correct referral URL.
On another note, it makes it easier to tell others my referral link without having to cut and paste a long URL. That reason alone was enough for us to do this.
